Not too long ago, someone asked me, “Hey, why have your Instagram stories been all about fitness challenges instead of coaching entry-level professionals?” And honestly? Fair question.

What started as a simple, personal challenge—to move my body more—has grown into something much deeper. Initially, it was just a fun way to get myself going, maybe even connect with others virtually or in person. Remember when I did that “Walk and Talk” Mini Tour through Colorado, Nevada, and California? That wasn’t just a walk—it was a spark. It was energizing, insightful, and frankly, a whole vibe.

That experience snowballed into what I’m now calling my Walking Challenge. Why? Because one day, I saw a post that said “Walk a mile every day in May,” and I thought—why not? That little phrase flipped a switch. So here I am, walking a mile every day, not just for fitness but for focus, clarity, and consistency.

Here’s the thing: these walking challenges have become living, breathing examples of what I coach every day—setting one small, manageable goal that can quietly transform your life. They’ve shown me (and hopefully shown you) how a seemingly simple action can bloom into a bigger dream or lifestyle shift.

This is why I always say, “Jumpstart your journey with that 1 goal.” It’s not just a catchy tagline—it’s the heartbeat of my business because it works, even when you don’t fully realize it’s working.

Small goals can lead to big wins. Sometimes, you don’t need to overhaul your life in one go—you just need to put one foot in front of the other (literally and figuratively). Whether it’s walking more, drinking more water, signing up for that course, or finally updating your resume—these are all small actions that lead to massive momentum.

Let’s also get real for a second: Your dreams can’t just live in your professional lane. No one’s ever been their happiest running only on career accomplishments. What if getting a little healthier—mentally and physically—gave you the energy and clarity to pursue all your goals? What if you finally had the stamina to take that evening class, apply for that promotion, or start that side hustle?

Everything is connected. The way you care for yourself shows up in your work, your relationships, your confidence. So yes, I’m still walking—and while I’m at it, I’m dreaming up new goals and new ways to help you walk into yours.

Some of the goals I’m working toward? They scare me a little. Some, I may never fully reach. But just naming them? That’s where the magic starts. That’s when the path appears.

So whether you’re starting with a daily walk, a journaling habit, or just setting a timer to finally focus—remember, it all counts. One small step can lead to something bigger than you imagined.

Let’s keep walking. Let’s keep dreaming. Let’s keep jumping into the journeys that matter most.
